you are traveling to European Union countries it is well
worth getting an EHIC which replaces
the old E111 before
you travel. This will allow you to get certain medical
treatment
free. |

Check that your passport is up to date,
that you have organised any visas required and that all
tickets, documentation and vouchers for your holiday have
the correct details on them. |

Remember to take a full supply of any
prescribed medication with you, sun tan lotion and a small
emergency first aid kit can be useful |

Money, valuables and important documents
are best kept with you rather than in checked-in luggage.
You may find that your household contents insurance can
provide cover for certain items, please check the details. |

If you do need any medical treatment
whilst abroad, remember to keep receipts |

any loss or theft, advise police or appropriate authority
within 24 hours of discovery and obtain a written report. |
